Nothing has been set onto this hair. It is collected from one donor with the cuticles intact and running one direction, and it has never been steamed, dyed or blended. The wave you get is that donor's own.

Which means the honest thing to say up front: bundles will not match each other exactly. Each one carries its own wave pattern, and that is what raw hair looks like before a factory makes it uniform. Installed together they read as one head of natural hair — but if you need three bundles that are identical out of the pack, a steam-set texture is the better buy.

Buying all your bundles in one order helps — bundles pulled from the same batch tend to be closer in pattern than bundles bought months apart.

Care

• Co-wash with a sulfate-free conditioner; shampoo sparingly
• Detangle wet, from the ends up, with a wide-tooth comb
• Scrunch and air dry to keep the natural wave; heat protectant before any iron
• Sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase
• Seal the wefts before install to reduce shedding
