Lace Front Wig
Also called: 13x4 wig, lace frontal wig
A lace front wig has a panel of sheer lace across the entire front hairline — 13 inches ear to ear, 4 inches deep. The hair is hand-tied into that lace so the hairline reads as if it grows from your scalp, and the rest of the cap is machine-sewn wefts. This is the construction most people mean when they say “wig.”

Choose this if
You want a hairline you can part off-center or pull back from your face, and you do not mind spending a few minutes on the install.
Worth knowing before you buy
The lace has to be cut and, on most units, tinted to your skin. A 13x4 gives you roughly two inches of scalp behind the hairline — enough for a side part, not enough to push all the hair straight back and still look natural.
