Questions people ask before ordering

How many bundles do you need for a sew-in?

Three at 18 inches and under, four past 22. Hair tapers as it lengthens, so three long bundles look thin through the ends. Adding a closure or a frontal does not lower that count — the lace piece finishes the crown, the bundles still fill the sides and the back.

How long does a sew-in last?

Six to eight weeks. After that the braids underneath loosen, tension moves to your edges, and new growth starts fighting the tracks. Take it down on schedule and the same bundles go back in three or four more times.

Which of these textures is easiest to maintain?

Straight and yaki straight. Neither has a pattern to protect, so the routine is shampoo, condition, comb from the ends up and air dry. Body wave and loose wave sit in the middle. Deep wave and curly ask the most — detangle wet only, dry without a brush, and refresh with water and leave-in between washes rather than rewashing.

Should you buy one length or mix them?

Mix them if you want movement. One bundle two inches shorter than the other two, sewn at the top, gives you layers instead of a solid block. Buy all three the same length only if you want a blunt, one-length look.
