What is the difference between a lace frontal and a lace closure?

Coverage. A closure is a 4x4 or 5x5 patch over the crown that gives you one fixed part. A frontal covers the whole hairline, so you can part anywhere, brush the hair back, or wear it in a bun. 13x6 lace frontal vs 13x4: what changes?

Two more inches of lace going back from the hairline. A 13x4 gives four inches of parting depth from the front; a 13x6 gives six, which is enough for a deep middle part that still reads as scalp several inches back. Laying it and making it last

Pluck the hairline before you lay it. A frontal arrives denser than a real one, and that density is what reads as fake from three feet away. Take out a few knots at a time from the front row back, and stop earlier than you think. Cut the lace just past the hairline rather than flush to it.

The lace wears out before the hair does. Take it down with adhesive remover rather than pulling, keep an iron at 350 and below, and end a frontal sew-in at six to eight weeks — past that, the tension costs you your own edges.
