A 13x6 lace front wig carries thirteen inches of lace across the hairline and six inches of depth behind it — 78 square inches, against 52 on a 13x4. Set the part anywhere inside that rectangle: dead center, deep on the side, or pushed all the way back off the face without a track showing where the lace stops.

Deep wave is the biggest of the three — a tight, defined S-pattern that reads as double the volume of the straight unit at the same length and density. Two honest notes before you buy it. First, curl eats length: a 26" deep wave hangs several inches shorter than a 26" straight, so size up if length is the point. Second, it is the most tangle-prone texture in the line and it drinks product — a leave-in, a wide-tooth comb and a satin bonnet at night are not optional. Treated that way it holds its pattern wash after wash.
