A lace piece that sits where you part, with the rest of your hair braided away underneath. The easiest to install and to keep up. 2x6 for a deep middle part, 4x4 is the everyday default, 5x5 to 7x7 give you more room to part.
- Frontal
Lace from ear to ear, so the whole hairline is the unit. The one to choose if you want to wear your waves pulled back or up. 13x4 is the standard; 13x6 adds a deeper part.
- Transparent or HD lace
Transparent lace is the sturdier choice and easy to tint to your skin. HD lace is thinner and near-invisible up close, but more delicate. In loose wave, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and 13x6 come in HD lace only.

How many bundles do I need?
Three bundles cover a full sew-in through 18″. Past 22″ hair naturally tapers, so add a fourth bundle at your shortest length to keep the ends full. Staying under 18″ with a closure or frontal? Two bundles can be enough.
What lengths come in a 3-bundle deal?
Three consecutive lengths, like 18″ + 20″ + 22″, our most-bought loose wave pack. The staggered lengths give the install layers before it is cut: the shortest bundle goes on top. Choose the pack by the longest length you want to see.
How is loose wave different from body wave?
Loose wave is a wider, more open wave, closer to a loose curl than a ripple. Body wave is a softer S-wave that reads more like a blowout. If you want more movement and volume without going fully curly, choose loose wave.
Will the wave last after I wash it?
Yes. The pattern is steamed into the hair rather than chemically processed, so it comes back wash after wash instead of relaxing out. Let it air dry and the wave resets.
Can I straighten, curl or color it?
It is 100% virgin human hair, so it takes heat like your own: flat iron it smooth for a blowout look or curl it, with a heat protectant. It can be colored too. For anything lighter than natural black, have a professional lift it.
Do I need a closure or a frontal?
Choose a closure if you part in one place and want the easiest install to maintain. Choose a frontal if you want the full hairline and to wear your waves pulled back. Transparent lace is sturdier; HD lace is thinner and near-invisible up close. Either way, the lace finishes the part and the bundles still fill the head.
