A closure wig is a ready-made unit with a lace closure at the crown, so you get a natural-looking part without leaving out any of your own hair. Every Mayvenn closure wig is 100% human hair, and most are glueless: adjustable band and combs, pre-cut lace, bleached knots.

Which closure wigs does Mayvenn carry?

Raw glueless 5x5 HD closure wigs in hand-colored shades, from soft blonde and honey to espresso and chestnut balayage, in 16" and 22". Glueless 2x6 HD closure wigs in straight, body wave and deep wave, 180% density, 18" and 22" (see 2x6 closure wigs). Closure bob wigs in natural black and #613 blonde, 10" to 14".

Closure wig or frontal wig?

A closure wig covers the crown with a 2x6 or 5x5 piece of lace, so it is quicker to put on and easier to keep up. A frontal wig runs lace ear to ear for a pulled-back hairline. If you want a middle or side part and a low-maintenance install, pick a closure wig. For ear-to-ear styling, see 13x6 lace front wigs.

2x6 or 5x5?

A 2x6 closure gives you a deep, narrow middle part. A 5x5 gives you more room to move the part left, right or center.

Which kinds of lace do Mayvenn products use?

We use both HD and Standard lace. Swiss lace is used for our HD Lace Closure wigs; it’s traditionally thinner than Standard lace. Standard French lace is more robust and comes with a slight brown tint.

Can the wigs be worn without glue or adhesive?

Yes, all wig caps are equipped with combs and can be applied with gel or similar glueless methods.

What is the density of Mayvenn Lace Closure Wigs?

Our Lace Closure Wigs come crafted with 150% density.

How much do your wigs weigh?

Our wigs range from 175 grams to 260 grams. What each wig weighs depends on the hair length, texture, and product type.

Do your wigs have to be customized?

Traditionally, the more you customize your wig, the more realistic your wig will appear. You’ll still need to trim the lace to create your desired hairline. HD Wigs use thinner, more transparent lace, so you’ll spend less time achieving a natural look.

Are your wigs pre-plucked?

No, but our hairlines come with a natural density that can be further customized.
