Maintenance Level

  • Clip-Ins are fairly easy to care for, but they do need maintenance to stay soft and tangle-free.
  • Apply heat protectant before styling with hot tools, and keep the temp below 250° F.
  • Use heavy or oil-based products sparingly, and shampoo and condition when needed to remove buildup.

Storing Your Clip-Ins

  • After detangling, store your clip-ins in your Mayvenn box, or inside a satin or silk pillowcase.
  • Remove clip-ins before bedtime to ensure they'll stand the test of time.

  • Bundles, closures and frontals ship Express and arrive in 2–3 business days. Shipping is free on those items over $120.
  • Synthetic wigs ship in their own protective box for a per-wig fee and arrive in 4–5 business days.
  • Rush (overnight) shipping is available on orders that do not include synthetic wigs.
  • Orders placed before 9:30am PST ship the same business day.

Returns
  • You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to return or exchange it. Every product is covered.
  • Hair returned untouched is refunded in full to your original payment method. Untouched means the bundle ties are still on and the hair is not unraveled, nothing is cut, no color, dye or bleach is on the hair, the lace is not bleached or tinted, the wig is unworn, and uncut lace is still uncut.
  • Hair you have worn comes back for store credit for what you paid for the item, within the same 30 days.
  • You pay return shipping either way, and original shipping charges are not refunded. Email help@mayvenn.com with your order number to start a return.

The life-span of your clip-ins depends on how well you care for them. They can last anywhere from 3-6 months, to over a year if you wash them carefully, use heat protectant spray, and store them properly.

How do I install Clip-Ins?

Clip-Ins are pretty easy to install and can be done quickly by separating the hair into sections and clipping the hair directly to those pieces of your natural hair.

Will Clip-Ins damage my hair?

Clip-Ins are the safest extensions option for your hair, and should NOT damage your hair if you are using them properly! Be sure to attach clip-ins to enough hair that you don't feel them pulling on your natural hair. Always remember to remove them before you go to sleep so that the clips don't tug on your strands. Other than that, you should have no hair damage from using clip-ins.

How long does it take to install Clip-In hair extensions?

Clipping in hair extensions is a quick and easy process that should take about 10 minutes.

Do I need a professional to install Clip-Ins?

Nope! Clip-Ins are very versatile and simple to install yourself. You may want to bring them to a stylist to have them cut and colored or highlighted to fit in perfectly with your hair, but you will be able to easily add and remove them daily.

Can I use heat styling tools on my hair extensions?

Yes! Our clip-ins are made of 100% virgin human hair, so they can be styled exactly like your own hair. Blow dry it, iron it, curl it - just be sure to use a heat protectant spray!
