Founded by Alisha Brooks and Elizabeth Austin-Davis, The Black Hair Experience is the first natural hair museum with locations all around the U.S. With exhibitions like a hair roller pit and a hair magazine wall, The Black Hair Experience is an interactive experience that allows us to celebrate our hair and take bomb photos at different exhibits around the museum.
The Black Hair Experience has locations in Atlanta, Dallas, LA, and the DMV area, with locations coming soon in Austin, Houston, and NYC. Their ticket prices range from $28-$52 depending on location and the kind of ticket you purchase.
The Black Hair Experience’s interactive and Instagrammable experience makes it a one-of-a-kind museum. The museum is described as a “playground for celebration and selfies created by Black women to celebrate our culture to be experienced by anyone ready to have an all-around great time”.
