What is a tapered cut, and does it work on natural hair?
A taper keeps length and volume on top and shortens the sides and nape. It is the most natural-hair-friendly cut here because it works with shrinkage rather than against it.

Should you try an undercut?
An undercut removes bulk rather than length, so it suits dense hair that feels heavy. Be clear-eyed about the exit: growing out a shaved section takes months of it sitting at an odd length under everything else.

Is a buzz cut or TWA right for you?
This is the shortest option and the least forgiving. There is no hair to redirect attention, so edges, hairline and scalp condition are all visible. It is also the fastest morning of your life and the cheapest to maintain.

Do finger waves work on short hair?
They are the best short-hair styling option that does not involve cutting anything further. They need 3 to 6 inches to form a wave, a strong-hold gel, and a full reset every week or so.

Does colour work on a short cut?
