1. Black Girl Sunscreen

This. Sunscreen. Is. Everything. I heard about this product from one of my favorite bloggers and decided to give it a try. My combination skin has a tendency to combine it’s glow with dry patches, and I’ve had a super hard time finding an SPF product that would leave me looking more “natural glow” and less “Casper the friendly ghost”. Black Girl Sunscreen is light enough to go under makeup and moisturizing enough to pair with a bare face...needless to say, I’m obsessed! And, the handwritten note that came with my order was a thoughtful touch.

It seems like their success is our failure. And what I’m talking about this weekend is a mindset SHIFT ... understanding that the path to exceptional character is found in creating value for OTHER people. As an example I shared that Wayne Gretzky assisted his TEAMMATES twice as much as he himself scored (1,963 assists vs. 894 goals) and still crushed EVERY INDIVIDUAL scoring goal in history. Let me help move YOU out of you way for 2019! #mytaughtyou](https://www.instagram.com/p/BqUoOOTgBSR/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

2. My Taught You Podcast

We know via her social media presence that Myleik Teele is an entrepreneur, fabulous cook and advice-giver extraordinaire. As the Founder & CEO of CURLBOX, she’s already inspiring women everywhere to go out and go get it and her My Taught You Podcast has remained at the top of the charts for years. From interviews with big names to listener questions and practical tips by way of Ask Myleik, it’s truly worth a listen.

3. M Roze Essentials

M Roze Essentials is a “skincare & lifestyle brand for the modern black woman”. Created by Morgan DeBaun, the black media mogul behind AfroTech, Blavity, and more, this line is simple and straightforward. The combination of their eye refresh cream, face beam moisturizer, and skin glow Vitamin C serum are all you need to showcase your #BlackGirlMagic glow on the daily.

4. CHNGE Sustainable Fashion

Although we don’t need an excuse to shop, CHNGE is the clothing brand that anyone with a penchant for social justice will love. The company donates 50% of its profits to organizations that support progressive environmental and social change, and its manufacturing processes are all about sustainability.

5. Passion Planner

Passion Planner is a goal setter, daily organizer, and motivational tool all wrapped into one. With a variety of color choices and planners that include dated and undated options, there’s something for everyone to choose from. Plus, their get one, give one model allows you to get your life together while you aid a person in need.

6. Paychecks & Balances Podcast

I admit it...I’m a bit of a podcast aficionado. Paychecks & Balances offers money and career advice geared toward millennials, and they do a great job at keeping a sense of humor in the process! From interviews with experts to telling their own stories in an authentic way, the podcast is relatable and useful...who’s ready to negotiate their next raise?!

7. Becoming by Michelle Obama

Forever First Lady in my heart and my favorite auntie in my mind, Mrs. Obama hit the nail on the head with her memoir “Becoming”. It’s heartfelt, inspiring and tremendously well-written. I expected nothing less, but, it was hard to put the book down! A must read for anyone who is constantly becoming their best self, no matter where they come from or are going.

8. Love Letters To: You, From: You

Ok, so this isn’t exactly a product or service but it is super necessary! During a time when the focus can be on who’s loving who, try putting that energy into your own healing. Take the time to journal about the things you love most about yourself - good vibes only, sis! Leave yourself love notes around the house, in your car, whatever...just make sure that you’re pouring into yourself the way that you deserve it.

10. Cardi’s Grammy Win

No matter your musical preference, we can all root for a woman who is living her best life and being her realest self. Cardi B’s Grammy win for Best Rap Album is a historic one, as she’s the first female solo artist to take the category! Invasion of Privacy has too many quotable lyrics to list, but we can all give Cardi a mental shoutout and a loud “oowww” to commemorate her moment.
